House." |
|
From
the desk of: Prentice Alexander, CFO
This has been an exciting period
of transition for Nova House. I had he
pleasure of acting as the Interim CEO for thre
moths and was able to move the agency in a new
direction from a customer service and technology
standpoint.
We are currently engaged in a
technology upgrade which includes replacing 25
older computers with new ones and linking our
agency via an intra-office and external email
accounts. Once this process is complete we
will upgrade our clinical software to allow
access, for clinical staff, to all client
treatment records on-line, real-time. This
is a major change from our current paper
processing system, Unfortunately, we cannot
eliminate all paper yet; however, we can certainly
streamline the need and eliminate duplication of
documentation . We are donating our used
computers to other non-profit organizations.
This is our way of helping our sister
organizations.
Financially, Nova House is meeting
the challenges of daily operations through its
productivity efforts and invites new and greater
opportunities. By the time you read this
newsletter we would have completed several
certification audits/surveys and will be well on
the way to increasing the number of clients
served. We have done much with less and are
excited about the future of Nova House.

Since April 2008 the Drivers Intervention
Program (DIP) has serviced 110 clients. DIP
offers a 48 hour and 72-hour program designated by
the court for driving infractions. By
attending either the 48 hour or 72 hour program
the participants avoid jail time. We also
offer an eight-hour remedial class that provides a
two-point conversion on participants licensure.
The remedial class is held only on the Friday,
prior to the 49-hour program.
If anyone is missing any certificates on
training you have completed, please let me know as
soon as possible at extension 203. |
