You were a warming spirit to Nova House.
Your brought cheer to everyone that
crossed your path. Generosity was
word used to describe your personality.
I admired your kindness. It was a
strength to Nova House. My heart was
touched by you." |

In Memory of Linda Diane Williams
September 1,
1961 to December 12, 2008

On Friday, December 12, 2008
the staff of Nova House was sadden and
devastated to learn that one of our dedicated
and precious members, Linda Williams passed
away at 5:30 in the morning. Prior to moving
to Dayton, Ohio Linda lived in Chicago,
Illinois where she worked 20 years for Allied
Vans, and several years at Stein Mart |
.In
2007 Linda was laid off from Allied Vans and
continued working at Stein Mart in Chicago, when
she transferred to the Dayton office.
On
November 12, 2007, Linda began working at Nova
House as an Receptionist reporting to Marlene
Crane. Linda made it a point to be the first
employee at work and the last to leave. If you
looked up the word dedication, you would find
Linda. Marlene Crane described Linda as a team
player, funny, dedicated and not a complainer.
Linda would accept any task given to her without
hesitation and rarely asked for help. Linda had
the postman mentality when it came to work, “rain,
sleet, snow or sickness would not stop her from
coming to work and doing her job.” On Monday,
December 22, 2008 Nova House held a memorial
officiated by Ken Baker and Ricky Smith.
Linda Diane Williams was born on September 1, 1961
in Latham, Alabama to the late Aljay and Mary Alma
Williams. She was the youngest of 11 children.
Preceding her in death, are her beloved parents,
two infant brothers, a loving sister and her
beloved Pastor and brother-in-law. Linda leaves to
treasure her memories, three sisters, Mary
Pauline, Sandra Claudine and Annie Carol; four
brothers, Eddie Lee, Robert Lewis (Catherine),
Ernest Alvin and Carl Edward; and the staff of
Nova House.
If We Could Bring You Back Again
If we could bring you back again,
for one more hour or day,
we’d express all our unspoken love;
we’d have countless things to say.
If we could bring you back again,
we’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
meant more than we ever knew.
If we could bring you back again,
to tell you what we should,
you’d know how much we miss you now,
and if we could, we would.
By Joanna Fuchs
“Linda,
my friend you touched my heart and the hearts of
others in so many ways. I will truly miss our
laughs and conversations. You are now at peace,
and we will have one great big laugh when I see
you again.”
