| "Though
Spring has Sprung, this is the Season when
many people develop many illnesses"
|
|
Happy
that it is nice out, many take to the
parks and yard with reckless
abandonment. Be aware, while it is
nice we can still get a cold or even the
flu.
How
to tell the difference between a cold and
the flu: A cold and the flu are both
respiratory illnesses, but are caused by
different types of viruses. Flu
symptoms usually come on quickly (within
3-6 hours) and consist of fever, body
aches, dry cough, and extreme fatigue.
Cold symptoms are less severe and people
experience a stuffy nose, productive
cough, slight fatigue and limited body
aches.
Use
this table to help you determine if you
have a cold or flu. This can also be
a helpful guide to have at home or when
working with clients. Remember, if
you experience flu-like symptoms, it is
better to act fast and speak to your
doctor within 12-48 hours.
